Whilst in Derby making work for our project Degeneration, we found ourselves wanting to take photographs but were facing torrential rain, so we decided to head for Stoke on Trent only to find the rain was even more torrential there. So we headed for West Brom, only to find that all the areas of Degeneration had been demolished leaving empty spaces where housing once stood.

On our way back to Derby however we came across an interesting area in Newtown Birmingham that was perfect for the project. As it was about 6pm and getting dark by this stage we headed back to Derby without taking a single picture. Next day however the weather was perfect and on our way back to Brighton we stopped again in Newtown.
